My 2010 Film Report

Some of you may remember that last February I tallied up all the movies I saw in the theater in 2009 and was surprised by how many films I had see in the theater. Well, its that time again, so I took a look at all the movies that came out in 2010 and this is what I found.

  • I went to the theater 33 times in 2010 (Only 6 times less than in 2009! I thought it would be far less, I guess Eva is not as much of an anchor as I projected.)
  • I flew solo to see 16 films by myself
  • Erin and I went to 6 films together, sometimes with other friends.  (Which means we probably only had 6 date nights all last year, since we always try to catch a movie.)
  • I saw 4 films with friends
  • I took my fellow cinephile Ella to 8 movies
  • It became clear to me that 2010 was not a good year for films, 2009 was way better! Four of my favorite 2010 films just came out in December or it would have been a terrible year.
  • I am not a huge Leo fan by any means, but he happened to be in two of my favorite films in 2010 (Shutter Island and Inception)

  1. Oh no, we need more datenights! I do know we went to Ann Arbor one night for graduation party – that’s a date right? Still, not very many. Glad Eva is not anchoring you down. Also, Ella is a fun movie date, hopefully she’ll want to go with me occassionally!

  2. How on earth do you remember this? Do you keep a logbook?

  3. I am a nerd, but no logbook. I just find a list of all the movies that were released in 2010 and go through and mark the ones I remember seeing in the theater. I am blessed to not have the schermerhorn memory gene.
